Historical Note
The Presidency of the United States has long served as a central institution in the political, cultural, and historical development of the nation. This collection captures that tradition, highlighting defining moments in U.S. history including the leadership and assassination of Abraham Lincoln, the ideological realignments of the mid-20th century, and the cultural significance of Barack Obama’s election as the first African American U.S. president.
