This collection primarily contains photographs photographic prints, photograph albums, and digital photographs taken by local "community photograher" John Coleman of Inland Empire (Calif.) events, people, and organizations with a primary focus on the region's African American community. Also includes programs, fliers, and other materials collected by Coleman pertaining to events and organizations in the Inland Empire cities of Redlands, San Bernardino, and Riverside.

This collection contains reel-to-reel sound recordings of folk music performed by Clabe Hangan and others at local venues throughout the Inland Empire including the Redlands Bowl in Redlands, CA and Penny University, a coffee house in San Bernardino, CA during the 1960s-1970s.
